New Opportunities for Active Integration of Young People and Women of Ethnic Minorities on the Labour Market

The Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation invites all interested participants to join the promotional events that will mark the start of the project ‘Integrating ethnic minorities on the labour market, through the stimulation of their potential for self-employment’, financed by the European Union. The project is implemented by the Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation (project coordinator), ZIP Institute, Roma Women Organisation ‘Daja’ and Foundation Future 21.
 
A series of six promotional events has been planned in several municipalities in Skopje and also in the country, and more information about the schedule (dates, locations and how to apply) will be available soon.
 
The events are aimed at all young people and women (students and unemployed), with a particular focus on the representatives of the ethnic minorities in the country, private sector representatives and the companies as potential employers. In addition, representatives of relevant institutions and organisations that work in the field of supporting the strengthening of the economic potential of young people and women have been invited, as well as representatives of the local authorities, chambers of commerce and the academic sector.

The project programme will be presented during the promotional events, and it will include:
  • Employment and self-employment training, training on how to start up your own business, career counseling, mentoring, IT courses, English language courses, internships in multiple companies, creative workshops;
  • Online courses for skills development and launching a sustainable e-learning platform;
  • Strengthening the capacities of the trainers within civil society organisations in order to pilot multiple online courses and to learn how to use the online platform;
  • Business plan competition and financial assistance in the amount of 3000 euros awarded to the 5 best business ideas.

The main objective of the project ‘Integrating ethnic minorities on the labour market, through the stimulation of their potential for self-employment’ is to facilitate the process of integration of young people and women of the ethnic minorities in the country through increasing their competitiveness on the labour market and also their (self)employability skills, in order to form new businesses and to create a driving force that will enable a continuous capacity building and professional development support.
