Improving the socio-economic situation of young people by building local capacities for creating youth policies

Today, the 23rd (Thursday) and tomorrow, the 24th (Friday) of June 2016 in Etno Selo in Kumanovo, a two-day training to build local capacity for creating youth politics was held as part of the project ‘Building local capacities for creating youth policies’, funded by the European Union.

The 2-day training event was opened by Mrs. Sophia Cali Kuzmanova, project manager and representative of the lead partner the Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation, and Mrs. Danijela Andonova Petruseva, representative of the Euro Centre Foundation – Staro Nagoricane, project partner. Both organisations are implementing the project in cooperation with the municipalities of Caska, Probistip and Staro Nagoricane. During the official opening of the event, a welcoming speech was also held from the Mayor of Staro Nagoricane, Mr. Milovan Stojkovski.

The training was attended by 20 representatives from local NGOs and the three municipalities. The main objective of the training was to build the capacities of youth organisations and the local authorities, to ensure a high level of participation and open space for the development of youth policies at local level.
