Three multiethnic entrepreneurial camps as part of the project ‘Together for success: young entrepreneurs, a driving force for good inter-ethnic relations’, funded by the European Union, were held as follows:
14th to 16th of September 2016 in hotel Bistra, in Mavrovo
Organiser: Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation, leader of the project partnership consortium
5th to 7th of October 2016 in the hotel Pela, in Ohrid
Organiser: Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, project partner
28th to 30th of October 2016 in hotel Manastir, in Berovo
Organiser: Euro Center Foundation, project partner
The Association of Citizens ‘Milenium’ from Tetovo, also part of the project consortium, took an active role in the organisation of the multi-ethnic entrepreneurship camps.
Around 50 participants attended each of the 3-day entrepreneurship camps, mostly entrepreneurs and young people with business ideas who want to start their own business, representatives of civil society organisations from different cities and regions of the country, and representatives of local authorities, mostly of the sectors for local economic development.
The participants came from different ethnic backgrounds, Macedonians in the highest number, followed by Albanians, Roma, Serbs, Turks and Vlachs. The topics covered during the camps included building the entrepreneurial capacities of the participants and how to achieve an organised representation in front of relevant policy-makers. In addition, currently available multiple opportunities for the development and financing of innovative business ideas, were presented by the trainers, during the programme sessions.
